Jennifer was born in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Toronto, Ontario in 1985 and resides here with her wonderful son. Jennifer loves to spend quality time with her family and extended family and friends and enjoys working out, cooking and is known for always finding a way to make someone smile.
Jennifer graduated from Humber College with Honours in the Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism Program. The multi-focused program allowed her to explore aspects of food and recreation and the link to healthy eating and exercise being the key to designing a healthy body. The passion for nutrition and food related issues came to a head in 1997 when her mother underwent a liver transplant. A woman who never drank or smoked a day in her life, it was hard to imagine what could be affecting her liver. Two sudden deaths due to heart disease in her family both in September 2003 led Jennifer to researching if it wasn’t heredity, what could it be? The two things that her mother and aunts all had in common…stress and obesity! Researching, reading, absorbing everything she could find for the next 7 years Jennifer worked and devised a plan to deliver the information to everyone she met.
Wanting to deepen her knowledge and have a platform to stand on Jennifer continued her formal education and in 2010 earned her diploma in Holistic Nutrition and her designation as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Registered Nutritional Consultant Practitioner, Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner, with the IONC International Organization of Nutritional Consultants.
Jennifer’s philosophy is the firm belief that in order to be healthy, whole and complete individuals, we must take care of the entire spectrum of the human experience. She firmly believes that eating wholesome natural foods (preferably organic) coupled with exercise, the reduction of stress and a positive attitude will go miles in optimizing your health. Health is a body; mind and spirit connection and what you put into life you will get out of it. Her goal is to educate everyone on how to make the lifestyle choices for themselves and their loved ones.
